How Does Flat Free Work?
Flat Free Tyre Sealant & Tyre Life Enhancer is installed quickly and easily through the valve stem of the tyre. Installation time should only be a few minutes.
When you drive your vehicle, the fluid action of the sealant causes the inside tread of the tyre to be coated in Flat Free. These adhesion properties keep the sealant in place at all times, ready to seal any source of air loss.
Your vehicles tyres are now protected from any puncture or other leak for the remaining life of the tyre. Simple!
Flat Free will also help dissipate the heat caused through road friction. This means that the tyre runs at a cooler temperature, helping get up to 30% more tyre life.
When you get a puncture, the force generated through centrifugal force and air pressure within the tyre forces Flat Free into that hole. A permanent seal is formed by the fibres and solids in Flat Free. Some fluid will go through onto the outside of the tyre. When the fluid is exposed to the air, it dries instantly and creates the permanent seal. You can now remove the puncturing object, drive your vehicle to duplicate the above process. A permanent seal will again be formed.
Should you find a object puncturing your tyre after a few days of not driving, simply drive the car for a few minutes to circulate Flat Free, then remove the object and continue to drive for a few miles.
Flat Free will easily seal holes up to ¼ “ in diameter, larger holes will normally seal providing they are near the centre of the tread area. Punctures that occur while driving will seal instantly with very little air loss before the seal is made.
